Platform · Health, safety & environment

No risky task starts without an approved permit.

LOTO, JSA and permits to work built into the work order. The technician can't start until HSE approves, and every check is signed.

01 · The problem

Safety can't depend on a form in the glove compartment.

When permits live on paper, nobody can prove what was approved, who signed it and whether it was followed.

  • !

    Work before the permit

The technician arrives, the pressure is on, and the permit gets signed afterwards, if at all.

  • ?

    Checks with no trace

Gas tests and lockout verifications get done, but there's no record of the time or who did them.

  • 3×

    Findings that keep coming back

Non-conformities are noted and forgotten, and the same unsafe condition shows up on the next visit.

02 · How it works

From work order to safe close-out.

  1. 01

    Identify

The work order template states which procedures and permits the task requires.

  2. 02

    Approve

HSE reviews the JSA and approves the permit before the technician starts.

  3. 03

    Control

Lockouts, PPE and periodic readings are logged and signed in the field.

  4. 04

    Close

The permit is closed and signed, and findings become tracked non-conformities.

03 · Permits to work

The permit is a requirement, not an attachment.

If the work order involves work at heights, confined space, hot work or electrical work, the system requires an approved permit before the technician can start.

  • Heights, confined space, hot work, electrical, line opening and lifting
  • Approval by the HSE supervisor with digital signature
  • Validity window with start and end time
  • The dispatch agent checks the permit before assigning
  • Signed permit close-out when the job ends

04 · Procedures and checks

LOTO, JSA and readings, step by step and signed.

Procedures run as checklists in the field app. The permit's periodic checks remind the crew when a reading is due and log every value.

  • LOTO, JSA, heights, confined space, electrical and refrigerant procedures
  • PPE verification before starting
  • Periodic checks such as gas testing
  • Technician, HSE and coordinator signatures

05 · Non-conformities

Every finding with an owner, a deadline and a close-out.

Unsafe conditions are reported from the field with evidence and severity. They get assigned, tracked and closed with verification.

  • Low, medium, high and critical severity
  • Photo evidence from the app
  • Owner and due date
  • History by site, asset and contractor

07 · Capabilities

HSE control without slowing operations down.

  • Permits to work by risk type
  • HSE approval before work starts
  • LOTO and JSA procedures as checklists
  • Periodic checks with reminders
  • Gas test logging
  • PPE verification
  • Technician, HSE and coordinator signatures
  • Non-conformities with severity
  • Corrective action tracking
  • Contractor requirements
  • History by site and asset
  • Audit log

08 · FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Can a technician start work without an approved permit?+

No. If the work order requires a permit to work, the app blocks the start until HSE approves it.

Can we use our own JSA and permit forms?+

Yes. Procedures and permits are set up as templates with the steps, fields and signatures you define.

How are gas tests recorded?+

As periodic checks on the permit. The app flags when a reading is due and stores each value with time and owner.

Does this apply to contractors too?+

Yes. Contractors follow the same procedures and permits, and their non-conformities stay on their record.

Can we audit who approved each permit?+

Yes. Every approval, signature and change is in the audit log with user, date and time.

Every risky task gets its permit before, not after.
